Sold 30x Vintage Ben Stacking Chairs - Cheshire

Description

No makers label, however a “Made in Yugoslavia” stamp found on a number of chairs. These are a recognised and known model which date from the 1960s.

Light-weight, knock about and durable, with the ability to stack. Ben chairs combine that radiant, retrospective form with the functionality of a working chair. No wonder they prove so popular.

Chairs were in use when found however present themselves as a little dishevelled. At the stage of needing a good clean up and general maintenance.

The finish ( a meths based lacquer ) is in need of a good clean and spruce. Structurally, a case of tightening a number of screws at the base of the uprights for the back-splats. Leg and stretcher joints all fine.

Later upholstery & additional webbing, on the whole fine, could get away with a hoover and clean if not re-upholstering, Seats are simply held by screws, aiding any re-upholstery.
