Japanese Oriental Style Geisha Table - Tyne and Wear

Description

Fully restored by Saxon Interior and Upcycle ♻️ This original teak table has been completely stripped of all its original wax and varnish then sanded and scorched.
Decoupaged, hand painted, gold-leafed and then liquitex varnished to give that gorgeous, glass like shine.

The picture itself depicts a stunning Japanese mountain landscape design whereby 2 Geishas seem to be contently, yet gracefully dancing within the blossom trees. 🌸 A remarkable scene.

This bespoke table has been elegantly finished off keeping within the Japanese theme… with 1 of a kind, coy carp drawers handles; which seem to give the piece an authentic, cultural edge.
Inside the drawers depict some more beautiful oriental artwork, yet this time featuring inspirational quotes traditional to the Japanese Buddhist lifestyle.

Like all our products the geisha table was sealed and protected with Osmo Polyx 🌱plant based - unique oil and wax combo. This specific shade was 3062 ‘Flat Matt’. The finish on the piece looks truly stunning!
