The optional back plate is embossed with a floral motif, and the Valencia firebasket is suitable for a real fire provided you select the solid fuel option. Please note not all stained glass windows for a door can be double glazed as they need a rebate of around 22mm then the period moulding is added which often is too big for the overall rebate of around 44 - 50mm . in this case we can simply add a piece of clear toughned glass to the exterior side of the door which adds further security, reduce noise and heat loss. This is around £ 70 - 80 plus vat on the whole and this is added at the same time the glass is installed to reduce additional labour costs.

Unrestored or Partially Restored Doors

We are occasionally asked for a more economical purchase and are able to offer from a range of doors which have not been subject to our extensive renovation. Of course these doors then require your labour, but the result is a door finished by you at a very good price.

The individual door may require the following: repairs to the original locking areas and other cosmetic repairs; some may require clamping to achieve a better fit at the joints; others may need panels to be glued, and finally of course the door will always require filling and sanding before they are treated to your chosen finish.

With any of these doors we can always instead price for the complete refurbishment of the door, but due to our labour costs this will then be reflected in a much increased price.
